The Emerald Eagle Marching Band

Congratulations to the Enloe Marching Band for placing 2nd in Music Performance, 3rd in Visual Performance, 2nd in General Effect, 2nd in Overall Class AAAA. Also, although there was no drumline award, they took 49/50 from the music performance judge. Keep up the work band, only two more competitoins!

Congratulations to the Enloe Percussion Section for placing 2nd at the Heart of Carolina Marching Invitational at Wakefield High School!

Congratulations to The Enloe Emerald Eagle Marching Band for placing 3rd in Music and 1st in Percussion at their first competition, the Clayton Band Classic! They will perform at the Heart of Carolina Competition at Wakefield High School Saturday, October 6th at 9:00 PM. Come support the band in competition! The band will perform in its first competition of the 2007 Season at Clayton High School. Students are to report to Enloe at 9:00 AM. The band will perform at Clayton around 4:50. Parents- plan on arriving earlier to be sure you do not miss the performance. Good luck to the whole band and show everyone how hard you all have worked!

The homecoming game has been moved to Monday, September 17th. The show will not be performed but we will play stand tunes. It is not mandatory for anyone to come but we do encourage everyone who can come to join us in cheering on the team. We will not be in uniform, but in band shirts instead. Band members are to report to the band room at 6:00 pm.

Parent night is August 24th. This is the band’s first performance of the show! Dinner is at 6:00 in the Cafeteria.

The first football game is Friday, August 17th. Band members are to meet at Enloe by 5:00. The lock-in at Adventure Landing will follow the game. It will go from 12:00 Midnight to 6:00 AM.

The SAT on October 6 no longer presents a conflict as we will compete in the evening rather than participate in the morning clinic. We will still rehearse in the morning so hold the date. But if you must take the SAT on that date, you will be allowed to miss the morning rehearsal, provided you make your request very early.

There will be a Band Boosters meeting on July 12th at 7:00 PM. It will be held in the media center rather than the band room. Computers will be available for parents to register
with Wake County Schools in order to act as chaperones and parent volunteers during the upcoming year.
